MANAGER FACILITIES MANAGEMENT Functions as service representative and maintenance manager for assigned portion of campus composed of multiple Facilities maintenance zones. Directly supervises all skilled trades staff in assigned area, managing staff development, forecasting staffing needs and establishing a system of accountability to improve work performance. Reqs: Substantial experience in institutional maintenance with demonstrated leadership or supervisory responsibility. Familiarity with multiple skilled trades: painting, carpentry, locksmithing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building automation systems. Journey level certification or equivalent education and/or experience in one or more trade specialty. Familiarity with Operating Engineers, Local 501 Memorandum of Understanding, AFSCME Memorandum of Understanding, and relevant UC employment policies. Three years or more functioning in a customer service capacity and leading/directing the work of unionized trades staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and familiarity with a range of modern electronic communication media. Notes: Possess journey level certification or equivalent combination of experience and/or education in one or more trade specialty. Maintain a valid CA driver's license, a clean DMV record and enrollment in the DMV Employee Pull-Notice Program. Fingerprinting required. $67,000 - $91,200/yr.
